About Us

Taste the passion

HolyCrab is excited to begin the next adventure at our new home – the iconic Capitol Arcade, located in the cultural district in the heart of Singapore. The enchantment offered by the beautiful conservation buildings of Capitol Theatre, Capitol Building and Stamford House, is alluring and captivating. The picturesque architecture evokes romantic nostalgia of Victorian charm. A beautiful backdrop with a sunlit atrium where heritage marries imagination. One is enamoured by a moment in time, caught by a memory.

Taste the passion

Indulge your cravings

A forerunner of Singapore’s much loved Private Dining Scene, HolyCrab originally offered the unique experience of dining in Chef Elton’s abode, more than a decade ago back in 2009. And how better to get guests’ hands off their phones? Keep their hands busy savouring some awesome Crabs! And that, was how HolyCrab was borne, a lovechild of Chef Elton’s passion for both eating and cooking! In 2017, Chef Elton decided to pull out all stops to take on the unchartered waters and challenges of opening a brick and mortar shop.
HolyCrab was given life and body, in the shape of a quaint little 25-seater shophouse at Tan Quee Lan Street. The charming streets of the vicinity are always bustling and vibrant, and the proximity of Liang Seah Street also offered meaning to Chef Elton’s personal heritage. The playfulness of HolyCrab’s creations has delighted many more guests since its humble beginnings. HolyCrab offers bold, distinct flavours, forged by a fiery need for “WokHei” (breath of the wok).

How we started

The initial menu from Chef Elton’s home kitchen, has come a long way and goes through curation and invention fuelled by steadfast passion. A special feature remains from its Private Dining days, an Omakase offering designed to delight your cravings for some good ol’ Singaporean fare! (Prebooking required.)
Fast Forward to today, in order to serve our guests even better with more seating options and also a beautiful bar setting, we have decided to move to the charming Capitol Arcade. We have chosen to be closer to Singapore’s history and hope to heighten the experience of what Singapore has to offer, one savoury meal at a time.
It is truly Epic-urean and puts the Woke in “Woke Hei”!
